I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
